Overview
Circulor provides supply chain traceability for global manufacturing operations. Their platform ingests and processes critical production and logistics data, requiring continuous availability, security, and auditability.
Revion deployed and now operates a fully managed Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment supporting Oracle APEX, Oracle Database workloads, and containerized microservices—delivering performance, reliability, and end-to-end operational coverage.
1. The Challenge
Circulor needed a secure and highly resilient cloud platform capable of supporting continuous global operations. Their supply chain traceability solution processes sensitive operational, sourcing, and logistics data that must be accessible and accurate in real time. This required more than simple hosting—it demanded an engineered environment optimized for Oracle Database workloads, Oracle APEX applications, and container-based microservices that interact at scale.
Circulor’s internal development and data teams wanted to focus on innovation, not infrastructure maintenance. However, managing performance tuning, database lifecycle operations, encryption, identity governance, monitoring, and uptime required specialized expertise. They needed a partner who could architect and operate the full stack with predictable uptime and strong security controls.
The challenge was to build an infrastructure foundation capable of sustained performance growth, enforce compliance-grade security, provide full-stack observability, and ensure continuous operations without draining internal resources.
2. What Revion Delivered
Revion engineered a fully managed cloud solution tailored to Circulor’s Oracle and container workloads. Our engineering teams designed, deployed, and now operate an environment that provides performance, resiliency, and secure lifecycle management while minimizing operational risk.
We implemented database tuning, schema optimization, and APEX performance improvements through optimized pools, caching, and indexing. For application services, Revion deployed and manages Kubernetes clusters to support microservice workloads with automated scale policies, lifecycle operations, and workload monitoring.
Security was strengthened at multiple layers through encryption at rest and in transit, centralized key management and rotation, and role-based IAM governance. Revion established full observability across the system, integrating database telemetry, performance logging, cluster statistics, and infrastructure metrics into a unified alerting pipeline tied to SLA thresholds.
Automated backup retention, scheduled patching windows, and routine capacity planning ensure predictable lifecycle operations. Revion’s on-call team performs continuous monitoring, alert escalation, and incident response, ensuring high availability without requiring Circulor engineers to perform operational tasks.
3. Results
The platform now delivers predictable, scalable performance for critical workloads with uninterrupted uptime for core production systems. Circulor’s database queries and application performance improved due to architectural tuning, optimized workloads, and automated scaling processes.
Operational visibility improved significantly, enabling proactive detection and mitigation of performance changes rather than reactive firefighting. Maintenance, patching, capacity planning, and incident handling now occur through structured processes operated by Revion—freeing Circulor teams to focus on application innovation and analytics.
Security posture and auditability improved through centralized identity controls, encryption enforcement, and monitored configuration drift. Infrastructure operational overhead was dramatically reduced while operational reliability and confidence increased across engineering and leadership teams.
4. Technologies Used
The Circulor hosting platform leverages deeply integrated services designed for uptime, observability, and security across application, database, and orchestration layers. Components include Oracle Database powered by tuned APEX connectivity configurations, Kubernetes clusters orchestrated for containerized workloads, centralized identity and access controls with IAM policies, Vault-based encryption key storage and rotation, and a full-stack monitoring and logging solution supporting SLA-based alerting and operational dashboards.
